Lantern Meadow is a place to remember people, not a way to gather data about the living. This page says plainly what we keep and why.

What we keep

When someone lights a lantern, we keep what they give us: the name they sign, the memory they write, and any photographs they attach. When a family creates or tends a meadow, we keep their email address so they can sign in, and the details they write on the memorial page.

What we don't do

No analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no cookies beyond the one that keeps a family signed in. We don't sell or share anything with anyone. The page never asks for your location or anything else it doesn't need.

Private lanterns

A memory sent privately is shown only to the family tending that meadow. It is stored with a lock that prevents it from ever being published — a rule enforced by the database itself, not just the page.

Removing something

Families can remove any lantern from their meadow at any time. If you shared something and want it gone, contact the family, or write to us and we'll help.
